Batata Harra

Batata Harra, also known as spicy potatoes, is a Middle Eastern mouth-watering dish that tingers your taste buds. Let’s dive into its flavorful secrets:
What Is Batata Harra?
The name “Batata Harra” translates from Arabic “spicy potatoes.” A Lebanese dish that hails from the Levant region. While some versions are fiery hot, the Lebanese style is subtly spicy. But my style is a bit different and adds up an extra taste.
Ingredients:
3 large potatoes
Fresh Coriander
Fresh garlic paste
Lemon juice
Tomato paste
Olive oil
Seven spice
Black pepper
Salt
Let's delf deeper and start preparing a plate of Batata Harra:
First, we peel the potatoes, cut them into medium cubes and wash them very well in cold water. After that, we season it with salt and off to deep frying.
Meanwhile, we mince a fair amount of garlic and cut our coriander finely.
Add a spoonful of olive oil into a pan on the stove and wait until it's hot, toss in your coriander and garlic and leave it until it's well sauteed. Add 2 teaspoons of tomato paste and mix it again.
After that, we remove our golden potatoes directly from the oil to the pan and mix it all together very well leaving it on light heat for 5 mins at least. Now we turn the heat off and add all the dried spices and a squeeze of lemon.
And here you have a Levant side dish that you'll crave over and over again…
